Umbria's top general marches towards the Eastern tribes of Galicia. He lays siege and destroys the town of Norova leaving only one witness to the horror. That survivor is Vindex. He finds his younger brother far from the town and vows to protect him. The pair flee west through the beautiful Galician frontier hoping to find refuge with a neighboring tribe.
