by Amber Wynn (Author)
Moving seamlessly from psychological drama to courtroom suspense, The Waiting Place recounts the events that take an NYU grad from '4 years and a degree', to '15 to Life' in one weekend. When a drunken romp leads to murder, Jacqueline devises the perfect alibi: an all-expense paid girls' weekend in Vegas! But when the credit card scam to fund the weekend goes bad, the girls get sucked into one dangerous situation after another as they fight desperately to stay alive and return to their lives in NYC. It's in the jail cell of the convicted murderer we get the play-by-play details of the places these girls end up by chance. Or was it? Lust, revenge, and deceit suggest more than a whimsical tale of bad luck . . . What these NYU grads experience can't be found on any syllabi passed out the first day of class. The Waiting Place explores the dark places you never thought you were capable of going . . . and under what circumstance you'd do that one thing you never thought you'd do.
