Paris Rosenthal grew up in Chicago, and yes she is named after the city of Paris. Her published works include #1 New York Times bestseller Dear Girl, co-written with her late mother, Amy Krouse Rosenthal and #1 New York Times bestseller Dear Boy, co-written with her father, Jason B. Rosenthal. She also wrote the New York Times Bestseller, Dear Teacher, as well as Dear Baby, Project 1, 2, 3, and Uni the Unicorn in the Real World. Aside from writing, Paris is passionate about music, yoga, soccer, and organizing.

Amy Krouse Rosenthal's 30+ books for children include Little Pea, Spoon, Chopsticks, Dear Girl, Plant a Kiss, Uni The Unicorn, Exclamation Mark, and Duck! Rabbit!. Her alphabetized memoir Encyclopedia Of An Ordinary Life was named one of Amazon's top 10 memoirs of the decade. Her final essay, "You May Want To Marry My Husband," was published in the New York Times Modern Love column ten days before she died in March 2017. It immediately went viral, becoming one of that column's most-read essays to date. Amy raised her three children with her husband, Jason, on a treelined street in Chicago.
