Author Biography

AMY KROUSE ROSENTHAL was born in 1965 and graduated from Tufts University. A prolific writer, speaker, filmmaker, and radio show host, she also contributed to TED Talks and wrote adult and children's books. She lived in Chicago with her husband and children for several years, and then announced on March 3, 2017, that she was terminally ill with cancer. Her essay for the Modern Love column in the New York Times, "You May Want to Marry My Husband," went viral online. She died on March 13, 2017.

BRIGETTE BARRAGER (Uni the Unicorn and Uni the Unicorn and the Dream Come True) is an artist, designer, and illustrator and writer of children's books. She spent some time at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios before taking the plunge into freelance illustration, where she's lived happily ever after. Amy Krouse Rosenthal's 30+ books for children include Little Pea, Spoon, Chopsticks, Dear Girl, Plant a Kiss, Uni The Unicorn, Exclamation Mark, and Duck! Rabbit!. Her alphabetized memoir Encyclopedia Of An Ordinary Life was named one of Amazon's top 10 memoirs of the decade.
