About Nadeem Perera

Nadeem Perera is a wildlife TV presenter, author, activist and co-founder of the birdwatching collective, Flock Together. Born and raised in London, Nadeem's love of nature expressed itself at an early age when it helped him to overcome mental roadblocks and trauma.  Since then, his expert knowledge of birds and other wildlife has seen him rise to  prominence in a predominantly white, middle class space. In 2020, together with Creative Director Ollie Olanipekun, he co-founded Flock Together, which encourages people of colour to get out and enjoy nature, support each other and look after their mental health.
