When Pigs Fly - Paperback

by Doug Augustine (Author), Joyce Beverly (Author)

"You're not cut out for this. You're not going to make it."

At age 26, Doug Augustine found himself running a nearly bankrupt company that owned seven Taco Bell restaurants. The future of the business, the well-being of his mother, and the livelihoods of several hundred employees weighed heavily on his shoulders. The stakes were high, and the odds were stacked against him.

During his 25 years in the franchise restaurant business, he faced personal tragedy, empty bank accounts, brand disasters, and the pandemic. He also developed a profound understanding of navigating events you can and can't control.

When Pigs Fly is a step-by-step journey of a guy who overcame countless challenges and proved the naysayers wrong. Augustine shares his strategies, tactics, and lessons learned, including his Do Not Settle and Don't Quit approaches to leadership and endurance training, that readers can apply to their own circumstances.

This memoir is not an MBA textbook; it's real life.

When you're short on hope and long on problems, discover how you, too, can make pigs fly.

Doug Augustine is a proven veteran in the quick-service restaurant industry. "How can we get better?" is his favorite question.
