Why is everyone ignorant of antebellum American history? Where did the Cherokee Indians go? Why did they leave Georgia? In Oklahoma an old Cherokee woman giver Katie a journal written in northwest Georgia 1820-1838, by an educated Cherokee woman. The journal was written where Katie was reared, when that part of Georgia was known as Cherokee Country. Katie is fascinated by the meticulous, well-written document.
