Book Overview

Phonics is not just about decoding (reading). Every phonics lesson should include an encoding (writing) activity that has children use their newly learned phonics skills to spell words. This comprehensive resource explains the importance of spelling in children's reading and writing development and includes dozens of reproducible activities, such as sound boxes for phonemic awareness, word-building sets, cumulative spelling sentences, and much more. A vital Science of Reading resource!
