Book Overview

This comprehensive implementation guide lays out the path to integrate Emory University's CBCT(R) (Cognitively Based Compassion Training) for Educators program into pre-school, elementary, secondary, and higher education institutions. CBCT for Educators is designed to work hand in hand with SEE Learning(R) (Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning), a program for students also developed at Emory's Compassion Center. Together, CBCT and SEE Learning are part of the Compassion Shift(R) initiative, which aims to promote human flourishing by advancing a global culture of compassion.

In today's increasingly fast-paced and interconnected society, education systems across the globe are facing an urgent need to improve academic excellence while supporting and protecting the wellbeing of their educators. A central contributor to these outcomes is fostering a genuine culture of compassion, one that supports meaningful relationships among all community members and self-efficacy and empowerment within individuals-from educators and students to administrators and parents.

This guide offers a thorough and multi-layered approach to integrating Emory University's industry-defining compassion training program into your education system to effect meaningful and sustainable change.
