Our Climate Pledges
7% of Profits are Donated to The Ocean Cleanup
Our mission is to contribute to the efforts of tackling ocean pollution by donating 7% of our profits—1% for each of the seven seas—to The Ocean Cleanup, a leading organization in ocean restoration. Our goal is to make a difference, one piece of waste at a time. Click here to learn more about their mission and how you can help.
Used Book Return Program
It's a fact that our actions as humans inevitably result in some form of waste. As a book seller, we are aware of the impact that books can have on the environment if not handled responsibly. That's why we make it our mission to encourage the reuse of books through our Used Book Return Program, in order to minimize waste.
How to Participate
Step 1: Buy From Black & Barhe
Every purchase made at Black & Barhe automatically contributes to our donations to The Ocean Cleanup. 7% of all profits are sent to The Ocean Cleanup each month.
Step 2: Shop Used Books
We constantly provide our customers with new book options, but opting for used books from our diverse collection can prevent unnecessary production and circulation of new books.
Step 3: Send Us Used Books
Send us your used books after reading to help prevent unnecessary waste (you'll get up to 15% off future purchases when you do). Learn more about our Used Book Return Program.
