About Delia Owens
Delia Owens is an American author best known for her debut novel, “Where the Crawdads Sing,” which has become a New York Times Best Seller. Born in 1949, Owens grew up exploring the natural world around her home in Georgia. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from The University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from The University of California. Before venturing into fiction, Owens co-authored several internationally acclaimed nature books. Her work, both fiction and nonfiction, reflects her background as a wildlife scientist and her deep connection to nature.
